I noticed that open water swimming seems to be popular with women and there are many open water swimming clubs around these days. I decided to depict my models wearing vintage swimming costumes because I like the aesthetic. Water is one of the four elements which are the sensual symbols through which we experience and enjoy life. My work is not voyeuristic , the people depicted are sporty and healthy engaged in an activity that women enjoy doing.
