This is a painting inspired by my many walks in Roslin Glen, just outside Edinburgh. I’ve spent many happy hours bird watching, sketching and walking in this beautiful glen. I was particularly taken with the ochre colours caused by winter sun on the trees above the glen, sharply contrasted by the snow and the birch trees below.
