Kidsty Pike is situated in the Lake District and is on the route of Alfred Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk. It was whilst on this walk that I saw this view. The painting was completed in the studio using photographs and memory as reference. The traditional watercolour technique of overlaid washes without the use of white paint is utilised.
