Near to where I grew up up, theres an area called Red Lumb village, old derelict houses and a working farm. I took reference photos but this was mainly intuitive and from memory when I painted it. The village is in moorland and it as though time has stood still. I painted it in Autumn, I tried to capture the light and colours as I remembered it.
