I love learning about animals through art. My general knowledge has never been great and I struggle to retain information. Every time I paint an animal I begin to think about the title and I find myself searching for information about the animals behaviour to inspire the title. Ive found art to be a great tool to learn about animal behaviour and I hope to share what I learn with others both online and through exhibitions. I was particularly moved when I came across jane Goodalls story, and her passing, and I realised I had already read her childrens book to my eldest daughter years ago and now again with my 5 year old daughter. I love how she talks about doing what you can, no matter how small, to help to protect nature. Having felt insignificant myself many times in life Janes words truly inspire me to make a difference, no matter how small, and I am trying to donate a percent of my artwork sales to conservation.
