Fresh Sunshine turns out to be a bright coastal-cottage sitting room rather than a bedroom – a blue-and-white striped sofa piled with cushions and a knit throw sits beneath a row of pastel pennant flags, framed by a large multi-pane bay window and coastal signage reading Beach and Coastal. A gingham-shaded wall sconce and a glowing lantern lamp warm up the blue-and-cream palette, while a woven basket, a canvas tote, and a stacked side table holding a thermos and drinkware complete a seaside lounge scene built for relaxing rather than sleeping.

Why this kit: the coastal signage and beach-themed decor give the room a stronger sense of place than a generic living space; a lit lantern paired with a gingham sconce creates two separate warm light sources in one small footprint; the striped sofa and layered textiles add a lived-in, comfortable feel rather than a showroom look.

Kit includes: pre-cut wooden pieces for the room shell, fabric swatches for the sofa upholstery and cushions, and miniature furniture and finely detailed accessories, including the sofa, side tables, lantern, and coastal decor pictured. Built-in LED lights are included to power the sconce and lantern glow shown in the finished build. Scissors and glue are required to complete the build and are not included. Dimensions: 5.9 x 4.3 x 5.1 inches.

Building Fresh Sunshine follows the standard roombox sequence – the pre-cut wooden panels are fitted and glued into the shell to form the walls and floor, after which the fabric and wallpaper layers go on. The sofa, side tables, and coastal accessories are placed next, and the included LED lighting is wired in last so the sconce and lantern glow the way they do in the finished display.

Recommended for ages 14 and up, Fresh Sunshine appeals to hobbyists who prefer a lighter, breezier palette over florals or pastels, and makes a natural gift for anyone who loves coastal decor – a calming display piece for a shelf, desk, or collector’s cabinet.
