A print of the river estuary and distant mountains of Jura at Crinan on the West coast of Scotland. The print captures the shimmer of the ebbing tide, the bright blues and greens and purples of a warm summers day. The eye follows the tide through the gently meandering shallows into the tranquil depths and the possibility of escape in the blue mountains beyond. A reduction linocut printed with at least fifteen layers of translucent ink to build up the subtle shifts of colour.
