My work is contemporary still life and painted in a photorealistic style. The themes I am working on are of being cast aside after serving a purpose and being discarded. The paintings are from a series title ‘Lost Souls’, they what are left of the objects when all useful life has been extracted from them. Having their existence, meaning, fascination and purpose removed. The objects were the carriers of pleasure and worth. The paintings are what are left when there is nothing left. They become metaphors for the human experience, which is why they are titled with human emotions.
