A still life study of wild foliage and berries, with the idea of foraging and natural provisions. This has been painted in natural daylight in the studio.I have endeavoured to show the contrasting leaf colours, highlighting the less usual beautiful autumn yellow in central position. The flurry of ripening berries is almost secondary to this and for which I have consciously varied the depth of field, detailing only some of the foreground berries, and painting the others with a suggestion of colour and form.I have to say that the photo doesn’t convey the richness of the painting as much as I would like.
